The Hobbit is a prequel movie of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and it’s currently on the filming process and will be premiered on December 2012. Apparently not only the fans of this Peter Jackson’s movie who’re excited, but also the citizen of Matamata, New Zealand.
Matamata is a rural town in Waikato region in New Zealand. A nearby farm is the location of Hobbiton, the village where all the Hobbits live. Of course that Hobbit is just a myth, and Hobbiton is merely a farm that changed into a movie’s set. Regardless, the New Zealand government decided to leave the Hobbit holes built on location as tourist attractions, since they were designed to blend seamlessly into the environment.
